My family and I spent a wonderful week here. Let me tell you, this house was PERFECT!!!! There was plenty of room for 3 families (adults, teenagers, and toddlers). We didn’t feel like we were on top of each other like other house we have stayed at. The kitchen had everything we needed, dining area was big enough for everyone and the whole house was nice and clean. Four bathrooms all with their own showers!!! After going to the beach no one had to worry about waiting hours to take a shower!!! Easy access to the beach (it was right there). The beach was perfect, not crowded at all!!! In the early morning we walked on the beach collecting sand dollars we were able to see the sea otters swimming in the water right in front of us!! The best part was having fires at night on the beach, the kids loved that!!! Yaffa was great she even called to make sure we had everything we needed. I was going to call her after the trip to tell her to hold on to our deposit so we can book next year’s trip but she sent our deposit back so quick I didn’t have time!! Thank you so much for sharing your house with us. I will be calling you soon to book our next trip in June!!!

Best Family Vacation EVER!

For the second time we enjoyed staying in your lovely home with our daughters, their husbands and our grandchildren. When we're not at the beach enjoying the ocean, sand, sea life (which is most of the time!) we feel so lucky to be able to return to your lovely home for gormet meals, card games and relaxation! Your home is a wonderful location for our family to share this special bonding time and creating memories for all to treasure! We plan to make this an annual event from this point forward! The views from the house are stunning, the house meets all our needs and the access to the beach is really great especially for the little ones (ages 3-10). Thank you so much for sharing your lovely beach house with us!

Me, husband, 3 children aged 13, 10 and 8 and their grandmas spent 5 nights here in April 2011 as part of a 2 week holiday in California. The house is excellent - set back from the beach so less exposed to erosion, but sea views from a balcony. There was loads of space for us - the loft recliner was a favourite indoor spot for us all. The house had everything we needed (except a kettle, but we are English!). We visited Monterey, Big Basin State Park and went kayaking on Elkhorn Slough. Lots of sea otters and seals. We also spent lots of time on the beach and jumping those big Pacific breakers (yes the water was cold, but we didn't mind). We stayed in 3 places on our holiday, and all 7 of us agreed this was the best house, with least futons, sofas and shared spaces. The 13 year old just bathroom - hopped! I'd definitely recommend this property.

Yaffa, you certainly have given your beach house an apt name. It really is stunning! Thank you so much for letting us rent it this past weekend. Our niece and nephew were unable to join us, as one of them came down with a bad spring cold. Our daughter, Sarah, was devastated--until she saw the top-level room that you call the den. She immediately renamed it the crow's nest and spent most of her non-beach hours up there reading, looking out the windows, and spying on Mom and Dad below in the great room. That little room, combined with the "rigging" for the stair railings and the "gangplank" that leads to the door, really make the house exciting for the under-12 set. The house is also ideal for the grown-ups as well. My husband loved the fact that we had so many different views: the wind-swept waves, the lush spring fields, the hills above Santa Cruz. I appreciated the fact that we were so close to the beach, and that it was so easy to unload and load the car. (We are a slave to those green carts when we rent a place in the Cypress units!). And, of course, the house was outfitted with everything we needed, which always makes for a serene weekend. (Actually, we did add some "corn holders" to your utensil drawer--suspect other folks may be able to use those as well. We saw some fresh-picked corn at a stand in Soquel and had to try it.) We hope you'll consider renting to us again--it really was a great location for a low-key family get-away

The beach house at Pajaro Dunes was beautiful! We really enjoyed the convenience of having our own private beach just a few steps from the house. One morning we even woke up early to walk on the beach and had the wonderful experience of watching dolphins and seals play with the waves. It was remarkable how close they were getting to the shore. It was definitely a safe community since it was gated, and you needed to check in at the front gate before getting through. We also enjoyed the convenience of how close the attractions were to the house. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was approximately 25 min away, and Monterey and Carmel were approximately 35 min away. Overall, this is a great house, and I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone.

My family and I had a wonderful time in the house in Pajaro Dunes. The house is in a wonderful location - just as described-and nicely furnished with all necessities and immaculately clean. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach ( and then walked for miles, watching seals along the riverbank, and dolphins in the surf, pelicans everywhere, and collecting sand dollars and driftwood !) We enjoyed the great views of the water and the Santa Cruz Mountains from the house and we went to the beach with drinks for sunset. We took advantage of being close to Monterey and Santa Cruz, visiting the Aquarium and Point Lobos . Yaffa, you were very helpful and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place and plan to return.

I want to thank you for making your wonderful house available to us. And, I (and my family) so appreciate your time and effort to prepare the house early for us. We enjoyed wonderful meals (we always seem to bring too much food on these type of vacations) and fun on the beach. The house was perfect for our size and desire to be on the beach.

The Pajaro Beach House has twice been the home for our women's retreat and we look forward to having it be our sanctuary again in the future. The location is dreamy, the beach lightly trafficked, and the accommodations perfect. The large dining table promoted conversations and crafts. The open spaces and windows all around allow for sounds and smells and everything you would want in an ocean experience. We even had a blustery storm which doesn't happen that much here in California. Sea birds and sand dollars at the water; and pelicans and seagulls from the windows. We are so grateful to have found this gem and for the peace and nurturing it provided each of us.

Want to let you know we had an amazing time at your beach house. We'd spent a good quality time in planning our church's children summer program.
